Recruitment

Do you have what it takes to step up and become a Emergency Services Volunteer

A Message From Our Captain

It’s the season for preparation!
Preparation through training now will set us up for success in the coming summer months.
There has never been a better time to put your hand up & get involved with your local bush fire brigade. Recruits need to be reasonably fit and be any age from 16 years up.
To find out how you can contribute to a great volunteer organisation, come along to our monthly Brigade meeting held on the second Thursday of the month at 19:00. The Two Rocks Fire Station is located on Caraway Loop in the Breakwater Estate of Two Rocks.

(Potential recruits are reminded that there is a level of commitment required to successfully volunteer as a fire fighter.)

How do I join?

Thank you for taking the time and considering joining Two Rocks Volunteer Bushfire Brigade, being a fire fighter is a tough but rewarding job and we advise you to seriously consider whether you are up for the challenge. We respond to calls during the holiday season, public holidays and weekends. Our fire fighters are called upon 24/7, 365 days of the year. We defend our community against bushfire and other potential fire related hazards. We expect all potential recruits to attend brigade meetings and training every Thursday night starting at 6:30 pm for training and 7:00 pm for meetings. If you think you’re up to the challenge we would love to hear from you.

If you think you’re up to the challenge and understand what we expect from you as a volunteer fire fighter, you will begin your 12 week induction which which includes attending training and maintenance nights which will prepare you for Fire School. Once you have completed your training you will become a Probationary Fire fighter until you gain experience on the fire ground. Once you have gained enough experience you will become an active fire fighter.
